Hold Out 07/04/2011
It's been a while now since Standing Tone started out, and we are very proud of what we have achieved so far. After the success of last week's show, it feels like things are really getting started!
Hold Out was our debut show, so it will always be important to us, and so will everyone involved. We cannot be more grateful for those who have had faith in us in these early days. Starting out in any
organisation is never an easy task, and all of you have made it thoroughly enjoyable.
A huge thankyou goes out to our fantastic young dancers who worked extremely hard all the way through the project. Lucy and Maizie were an absolute pleasure to teach and perform with and we would love to
work with them both again in the future. Please remember that we are always interested in hearing from young poeple in the community who want to get involved in projects such as this one, our door remains open!
We would also like to give special thanks to those at the Stafford Gatehouse Theatre who made us feel welcome from day one, and supported us in so many ways. The venue has gone from strength to strength in recent years and it has been such a privilege to be part of it.
We were also extremely lucky to have had some great additional technical support in Photographer Marise Plater and emerging local Filmmaker Rich Greene. Thanks to your hard work on the day, Hold Out
will continue to be enjoyed by many.
Finally, we want to let our audience know how much it meant to us that you could be there to see the beginning of many exciting things to come.
Speaking of which, watch this space and follow us on Facebook and Twitter to hear about the work we are currently involved in. Work has already begun on our next dance project, and the anticipated
debut album by Gurusoul is in the finishing stages of production. Updates will be sent out as soon as they become available.
All the best
Chris & Gabi

Firstly, a huge thank you to everyone who has shown an interest and supported us in the initial stages. There is, at this point, a good deal of news and project updates to fill you in on, so the blog will be a little on the large side!
The Third Duke – The shooting and editing of 'The Third Duke' will now be taking place later in 2011. The film is being shot at Stafford Castle - more details are available on the projects page.
A huge thank you to those who supported us during the early stages of the project; your hard work will pay off, and there's undoubtedly more to come.
Hold Out – Our debut show entitled 'Hold Out' will officially be taking place on Tuesday 29th March 2011. We are extremely proud to announce that the show couldn't be happening in a better location, the MET Studio at the Stafford Gatehouse Theatre. In its short life so far, this location has already hosted several fantastic acts and will host many more in the future. More information on the show itself is located on the projects page.
Gurusoul – Chris will soon be planning to release the first Gurusoul EP, which will be the first of several releases lined up for the next year. The release will be download only, more details on release dates and retailers will be with you as we get them. However, Chris wishes to inform you that a short release may be available in time for the festive season, depending if you're naughty or nice!
The EP release entitled 'My Survivor' will feature pieces which are being performed at the Hold Out show in March.
Look out for the first of many Gurusoul and Standing Tone live experiences in the new year. Our door is always open to suggestions for projects and collaboration; we will frequently be posting on Facebook and Twitter with any information which might be of interest, please contact us to find out how you can get involved with what we're up to.
